iPhone/iPad Photo Tethering
|
I thought I would take a moment to share a great video tutorial with everyone this week. The video comes from the guys over at www.fstoppers.com who are a collection of really great photographers who take the time to video behind the scenes at a number of their shoots and let you see some of the tricks of the trade.
This week the tip I wanted to share was something that a lot of people might want to make use of, even just for their family photos and snapshots - how to wirelessly transfer images from your camera to an iPad! (the same method will work for your iPhone too!)

The tips in this video where really useful for us, we now use an Eye-Fi card at a lot of weddings and portrait shoots to wirelessly transfer images to the iPad for review by the Wedding Guests or the Parents. This means that we can get instant feedback on the images that people like and on our own shooting settings to make sure that we get the best possible images out of the time available.
I have also used this technology to allow me to upload live images from the midst of a protest at Leeds United Football Club, wirelessly transmitting images from the camera to my iPhone and tweeting the images live to world - photojournalists the world over will no doubt be able to find a whole host of brilliant ways to incorporate this into their reporting in the future.
